Title Light-up of Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden   Date.   2009-05-20

Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden are built by the Maeda family, one of the most powerful feudal lords in Japan, as their former official residence and private garden respectively. During the Hyakumangoku festival that is held in early June commemorating the entry of Toshiie Maeda into the castle in 1583, both Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden are lit up in the evening with free admission so as to welcome as many visitors as possible.

 

7:00-18:00, Friday June 5 to Sunday June 7

 Admission to Kenrokuen Garden is free.

(That to Castle Park is free anytime.)

19:00-21:00, Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7

  Light-up and free admission of Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden
