Title Special Admission to Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden in Autumn   Date.   2009-09-19

Special Admittance to Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden in Autumn

Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden specially offer free admission in autumn.

One of the features in the 2 spots is the snow supports of the pine trees. As Kanazawa has humid and heavy snow in winter the branches of the pine trees are supported by strings to prevent them from breaking. The snow supports are in place for approximately one month from 1st November.

In order to protect Karasaki pine tree, for example, which is in the center of the garden and well known for handsome-foliage, more than 800 pieces of ropes are used. After the completion of the performance visitors can enjoy a very unique and splendid view. The best autumn color of leaves will be from around 10th November.

There will be light-up for seven days with free admission in these areas.
