Title Kano-gani crabs caught in the seas near Ishikawa prefecture are sold in Omicho market.   Date.   2009-10-31

Snow crabs, called Kano-gani, are caught in the Sea of Japan near Ishikawa prefecture.

The only fishing period for the crabs is from November 6 to around March every year. They are sold in the fish shops and supermarkets in the city after November 7.

All fish dealers in Omicho market lay so many fresh and bright red Kano-gani crabs and they are very crowded with shoppers.

At the same time, many restaurants in the city offer various delicious dishes with the crabs.

Why don¡¯t you visit Kanazawa to enjoy its very delicious winter flavor.
