3 – Designer shopping at the select shop GIO
The Select shop GIO is in the Shiinoki Cultural Complex, only a few minutes’ walk from the 21st century museum. The interior is elegantly simplistic, at the same time modern and typically Japanese. Elegantly arranged are objects of traditional craft and yet of modern taste and use, such as traditional washi stationary, plates, chopsticks, most of which are produced locally. All are of the highest quality, guaranteed to be made in Japan and very affordable. There are often exhibitions and special events held at the Select shop GIO around seasonal themes or a particular artist`s intervention.
